Biostaden is located in the center of Karlskrona and offers six lovely comfortable cinema salons where the main part of the Carl International Film Festival’s film program will be presented. The cinema is owned and operated by Svenska Bio.
The art gallery is the festival’s event center and is a multifunctional venue where everything from seminar and film screenings to festivities and mingles will be held. The art gallery is operated by Karlskrona municipality.
Konserthusteatern is located at Stortorget in Karlskrona, and was designed by Wolter Gahn, architect, completed in 1939. During the festival, the opening ceremony and opening film are held in the concert hall.
OPEN AIR CINEMA
Grevagården is located in central Karlskrona, five minutes walk from the central station.
- Spanish Staircase, Ristorgsbacken
The Spanish Steps are located right at Karlskrona City Library at Borgmästaregatan, a newly built accessible part of the city center where the festival will present the closing film, with a film screen facing the stairs and the square.
Biobaren is located at Biostaden and is the place to hang out during the film festival. Have a beer at the bar, enjoy good and simple food at special prices when you show your ticket or film pass and enjoy a whole range of festival activities such as quiz, stage interviews with film personalities, and much more!
Scandic is the festival’s official festival hotel, located on the waterfront at Fiskorget. At Scandic, the festival’s industry activities will be held, and here are the majority of the festival’s film guests accomodated.
