Carl International Film Festival

Carl International Film Festival (CIFF) is a new film festival in Karlskrona, Sweden.

The festival aims to promote openness and freedom, and to highlight directors and filmmakers who work for this through their films. At the same time want to CIFF be a platform for new film from the Baltic Sea countries and offer an international platform where the best of this region are presented in the film program. The first edition of the festival was held September 8–13 2017.

Carl Film Forum is the festival’s industry platform. The forum will focus on establishing new opportunities for international co-production within the Baltic Sea region, roads to financing film and audiovisual media, focus on development of regional funds and film and audiovisual media productions. Carl Film Forum 2017 was held parallell to the festival September 11–12.

Carl International Film Festival wants to make the festival a natural meeting place for the film industry, business and audience. The festival aims to unite international stardom and the latest from the film industry with cutting edge technology. It is a vital and exciting event with strong local ties.

We are looking for other organizations that wants to support us to create the first edition of Carl International Film Festival. By supporting the festival you will help to strengthen the city of Karlskrona and the whole of southern Sweden as a film region. We want the festival to forge closer links between the cultural and creative industries and businesses throughout the Baltic Sea region.
